Product Management Enhanced with AI

Good friend and colleague, Greg White was at a recent Product Leaders Brain Trust meeting hosted by Centercode, where product leaders discussed how their teams are using AI. The general session featured a chat storm where product leaders were asked what their teams were doing differently from last year. Greg had Claude aggregate them. Here are the key themes from the chat storm:

Vibe Coding & Prototyping
Product Managers are now building working prototypes themselves — using ReplitLovableClaude CodeVercel, and Codex — often going from concept to deployed prototype without engineering involvement. Several product leaders noted that their prototype code had reached production.

AI-Augmented PM Artifacts
Product Requirement Documents (PRD), user stories, mockups, and project plans are increasingly AI-generated or AI-refined. Tools like Claude Code, Figma MakeRovo, and Claude itself are doing the heavy lifting on traditional PM writing work.

Compressed Cycles
Faster development, release, and iteration cycles are the direct result of AI tooling. The time from idea to validated artifact is collapsing.

PMs Moving Closer to Deployment
More active involvement in release management, code review, and even production code generation. The PM/engineering boundary is blurring — one respondent explicitly called out “more blended roles between engineering, design, and product.”

Automation of Product Operations
AI agents are handling data analysis, workflow enablement, and redundant operational tasks. This is still emerging but clearly evolving.

Revenue Ownership
One outlier worth noting: at least one team shifted PMs to own the revenue plan and results per offering area — a more business-accountable PM model.

In a breakout group, one member captured our discussion in this visual summary.

Ever evolving AI tools are reducing time from concept to production by helping with product planning, requirements documentation, and prototyping that gives PM more opportunity to help with product design and development collaboration, release management, and more revenue ownership of their products.
